Who operates this site.
The Vascular Brain is an independent educational website written and edited by Zaka Ahmed, MD. It is not operated by a hospital, health system, employer, or medical practice.
Medical privacy boundaries.
This site is for education only and is not a patient portal. Do not submit protected health information, urgent symptoms, medical records, imaging, or requests for diagnosis through this website.
Nothing on this site creates a physician-patient relationship. If you are having stroke symptoms or another medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.
Information you choose to provide.
If you email the site owner directly, the information you send is processed by your email provider and the site owner's email provider. The website itself does not run a clinical intake system or store messages in a medical record.
The newsletter and contact forms on this static site open an email draft. They do not silently save your message to a database.
Advertising and Google AdSense.
